VISA CATEGORIES
Business Visa
Business visas are issued to foreign nationals who would like to sojourn in Zambia for business purposes or to attend conferences. This visa is granted for a period not exceeding 90 days for multiple-entries or a single entry. Visa-exempt nationalities are granted a stay of up to 30 days upon their arrival.
Temporary Employment Permit
Temporary employment permits are designed for foreign workers undertaking work for up to 180 days. Applicants must enter Zambia on a business visa and be in-country for submission of the application to the immigration services department in Zambia.
Employment Visa
Employment permits are designed for foreign workers undertaking work exceeding 180 days up to two (2) years. Applicants must apply for an employment permit prior to travel to Zambia.
Residence Permit
Residence permits are designed to allow dependents of employment permits to reside in Zambia for a period exceeding 90 days and up to two (2) years. The processing time of a residence permit can vary but may take up to 90 days to be processed.
